About the conference

 

The AmericaLex-S Inaugural Conference: “Contemporary Perspectives on Lexicography” will be held from 20 to 25 October 2023 at the University of São Paulo (USP) in the city of São Paulo, Brazil.

The Conference aims to establish the Association of Lexicography for the Americas, South, Center, Caribbean and Mexico by opening up avenues to discuss the most contemporary views on Lexicography.

The AmericaLex-S Inaugural Conference will bring together academic and scientific researchers, software developers, publishers, professional lexicographers and others interested in dictionaries of all types.

The establishment of the Association of Lexicography for the Americas, South, Center, Caribbean, and Mexico and its Inaugural Conference is a joint initiative from scholars and professionals from different universities and publishers and from the other Lex Associations and the GlobaLex, the Constellation for Lexicography that unites them all.
